Police have brought Benjamin Best Nnayereugo back to Nigeria to face murder charges. The suspect, nicknamed Killaboi, ran away after allegedly killing Miss Onuwabhagbe last July. The 21-year-old victim studied at Lead City University before her death at his Lagos home. Nigerian police spokesperson Olumiyiwa Adejobi announced the extradition on Saturday. Killaboi had been hiding abroad for almost two years. The fugitive broke out of prison in Sierra Leone before traveling through many countries. He used fake identities to make his way across West Africa, East Asia, and the Middle East. He settled in Qatar this January, calling himself Toure Abdoulaye. He lived there with a fake Guinean passport and worked illegally until authorities caught him. Police tracked him down using international cooperation. INTERPOL offices in Abuja and Doha worked together to find him. They used advanced biometric technology to confirm who he really was. Qatari police arrested him in February after discovering his true identity. Nigeria requested his extradition through proper legal channels. The Justice Ministry processed the paperwork for his return to face trial.
