Kenya's Deputy President Kithure Kindiki invited lawmakers from the Mt Kenya area to his official home in Karen, Nairobi, on Thursday. They talked about how government projects were coming along in their districts. Last month, on February 18, Kindiki said he would personally check all government projects before any official openings happen to protect President Ruto from public anger.

He wants to make sure nobody makes fun of the President when projects aren't finished or haven't even started yet. Kindiki promised he would confirm complete funding exists for every project before involving President Ruto. The President will finish his five-day visit around Nairobi on Friday, during which he launched several projects, including affordable housing units.
