Deputy President Kithure Kindiki met President William Ruto in Mandera County on Tuesday. The visit marks the start of a three-day development tour across Kenya's North Eastern region.
Kindiki arrived earlier with Environment Minister Aden Duale and presidential aide Farouk Kibet. Water Minister Eric Muuga joined the welcoming party.
Local leaders attended the event, including Mandera Governor Mohamed Adan Khalif and Marsabit Governor Mohamud Ali. Several Principal Secretaries and Members of Parliament gathered to greet the president.
