CEO Dr. Evanson Kamuri said technical issues affected the e-Citizen and Social Health Authority platforms on Tuesday. The hospital fixed these problems quickly and kept serving patients throughout the outage.

"I have directed that all patients, especially those needing dialysis and cancer treatment, receive care without delay if systems fail again," Kamuri said. Staff can handle paperwork later when systems return.

The hospital plans to improve its digital systems to prevent future problems. "We remain committed to seamless service during any disruptions," Kamuri said.

The announcement follows a protest on January 15. Frustrated patients went to the Health Ministry offices at Afya House to complain about payment system failures. They interrupted a press conference with the Cabinet Secretary.

Kamuri apologized for the two-day system breakdown and said the Social Health Authority system had been fixed and properly linked with hospital operations.

"The technical problems delayed patient clearance and administrative tasks. We regret any hardships our patients and families faced," Kamuri said.
