[QUOTE="Munyaradzi Mafaro, post: 50655, member: 636"] A top university official has blamed Kennedy Agyapong for destroying the New Patriotic Party during the 2024 elections. Dr. Kofi Appiah Koranteng from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology says the politician wrecked party unity with his wild behavior. The deputy registrar spoke on Neat FM Wednesday and accused Agyapong of confusing voters with mixed messages. He claims the former Assin Central MP damaged the party through constant public fights and divisive talk. Koranteng believes Agyapong cannot escape blame for the crushing defeat. The university boss attacked Agyapong for losing his parliamentary seat to the opposition. He says every serious leader makes sure their party keeps control when they leave office. Agyapong became the only NPP member whose seat flipped to the other side during the election disaster. Koranteng thinks voters should learn something important from that embarrassing loss. He says no politician with real influence should fail that badly in their home area. Koranteng also slammed Agyapong for claiming he funded the party while complaining about being ignored. The academic says these contradictions created confusion among party members and supporters. He pointed out that Central Region lost many NPP seats despite Agyapong saying he controlled the area. Koranteng wants party members to think carefully about how the politician hurt their chances. He warns the NPP will lose more voters if leaders do not address such damaging conduct before 2028.
