Prosper Kumi won the full backing of everybody as the new head of Hohoe town. All 25 people voted yes for him. When he thanked them, he talked about making the area rich, including everyone, and keeping things healthy for the future. He promised to create more jobs, help people live better, and make sure everyone could use good services. Kumi believes Hohoe has many resources they can use better. He wants to collect more local money and build strong ties with groups who give aid. This should help them have steady funds coming in. He talked about working with every person who matters for helping Hohoe grow as he starts his new job. He looks forward to teaming up with many different people and groups to fix the problems the town faces. He thanked President John Mahama for picking him to lead such an important town. He felt happy about everyone voting for him and said it showed they wanted to work together with him. Thomas Tsekpo, the area's Member of Parliament, noticed how chiefs from all parts came to show they liked Kumi. He said they would ask these chiefs first before making any big choices about town growth. Tsekpo promised to turn Hohoe into a place everyone would feel proud of. He said it would soon match other well-built towns. He assured all members that their areas would receive fair amounts of building projects. He gave his word that roads across the area would improve. He also said they would finish building the Fodome campus of the health university. James Gunu, who leads the Volta Region, told everyone that 18 people had been named to run different city and town areas nearby. He hopes Hohoe might become a big city status place very soon. He explained that by voting for Kumi, people also voted yes for growth, progress, paying allowances to town council members, and making each voting area better.
