Kwakye Ofosu blasts NPP for bloated political hires

Felix Kwakye Ofosu slammed the old NPP government for having way too many people working for them. He told reporters that the NPP packed the President's Office with hundreds of political friends, something President Mahama won't do.

"Check the records yourself - back in 2022, the NPP had hundreds of political appointees at the President's Office," he said. All those extra workers cost taxpayers tons of money. Ofosu promised the Mahama team would hire far fewer presidential staffers and helpers. "We can tell you right away our numbers will stay below half of what the NPP had when they ran things," he stated firmly.

Ofosu also denied rumors that Mahama secretly added more ministers to his cabinet. "We appointed exactly 56 ministers. Mr. Oppong Nkrumah participated in the vetting process and knows this is true," he explained. According to Ofosu, keeping the government small saves serious cash.

"Fewer ministers means buying fewer Land Cruisers, which everyone knows cost a fortune," he pointed out. He assured Ghanaians that Mahama plans to keep his administration lean but effective, focusing money on development instead of unnecessary expenses. The new approach aims to deliver better results without the bloated staff numbers seen under previous leadership.
