Ofosu gave exact numbers for presidential staff. Only 30 people work as presidential staffers or aides today, compared to the 336 political appointees working under the NPP government back in 2022. Every presidential staffer has been publicly named—specifically, 27 staffers plus three aides for special projects.
The government saves lots of money by having fewer ministers, Ofosu explained. Cutting from 126 ministers down to about 60 saves millions of cedis on cars and other expenses. He asked Ghanaians not to believe what he called false NPP stories.
