Larry Dogbe from the Herald Newspaper criticized Frank Davies hard on Monday. Davies works as a lawyer for Ken Ofori-Atta, who used to be Ghana's Finance Minister. The Office of the Special Prosecutor wants Ofori-Atta to show up because they think he ran away. Davies said his client feels sick and did not run from the law. He told people that Ofori-Atta stays innocent until courts prove otherwise. Davies spoke on Citi FM radio and went after Special Prosecutor Kissi Agyebeng. He said Agyebeng does not care about his client's basic rights. The lawyer claimed that charging someone does not make them guilty right away. Davies said Ofori-Atta cannot come because he stays in bed feeling unwell. He told Agyebeng to go find him if he wants him that badly. Dogbe thought Davies acted rude and mean to everyone. He said the lawyer disrespected both Agyebeng and all Ghanaian people. Dogbe reminded Davies that Ofori-Atta once worked for taxpayers as their minister. The Herald editor wanted Davies to talk with more respect and act mature when speaking about serious matters. The Special Prosecutor investigates Ofori-Atta for money crimes. These cases involve the National Cathedral project and deals with ambulance parts. Officials also look at his work with the Ghana Revenue Authority contract.
