A computer chip expert has shared details about NVIDIA's upcoming graphics card. Kopite7kimi revealed specifications for the GeForce RTX 5070 SUPER GPU that shows major memory improvements. The company finished launching its RTX 50 Desktop series with the entry-level RTX 5050 model. NVIDIA plans to release SUPER versions of these cards around CES 2026. The RTX 5070 SUPER will replace the current RTX 5070 model. The new graphics card will use a GB205-400-A1 Blackwell processor with more computing power. It features 6400 cores compared to 6144 cores on the standard version. The card needs 275 watts of power instead of 250 watts for a 10 percent increase. This represents a small boost in energy requirements for better performance. The processor upgrade adds two more streaming multiprocessors to the design. Memory capacity receives the biggest improvement with 18 gigabytes instead of 12 gigabytes. This creates a 50 percent jump in video memory for handling demanding games and applications. The card keeps the same 192-bit memory bus and 28 gigabit speed as the regular model. Memory bandwidth stays identical between both versions. NVIDIA uses new 3 gigabyte memory modules to achieve the higher capacity. The company may keep the same $549 price point for the SUPER version. Previous SUPER models did not cost more than their standard counterparts. Gamers will need to wait until next year to purchase the upgraded card. The 18 gigabyte memory amount exceeds most high-end graphics cards available today. This makes the RTX 5070 SUPER attractive for serious gaming enthusiasts.
