The ruling party leader in Masvingo, Mr. Mavhenyengwa, remembered Chief Chivi as someone who always stood by their cause. He wants to keep working toward Chief Chivi's dream of making Zimbabwe stronger by 2030.

Born in 1919, Chief Chivi showed his deep love for freedom. In 1976, he left his regular job to help in the war full-time. He worked hard to make Zimbabwe free from British rule.

The local leaders promised to keep helping the people of Chivi grow stronger and richer. They want to make Chief Chivi's hopes for a better Zimbabwe come true.
