Lenovo just added two special Legion graphics cards made only for their Legion 9000K gaming computers. These RTX 5090D and RTX 5080 models are exclusively available in China, not as separate parts you can buy on your own. The letter "D" on the RTX 5090D tells us this card follows certain rules required by Chinese law, which explains why Lenovo picked it for systems they sell only in China.
These graphics cards have huge cooling systems that take up four slots and have three fans to keep temperatures down. Lenovo built them with fancy metal covers made by CNC machines and added full metal plates on the back. We don't yet know exactly how fast the core and memory will run on these cards. The main difference between them sits inside—the RTX 5090D uses the bigger GB202 chip, but the RTX 5080 has the smaller GB203 chip.
Both cards need just one 16-pin power plug and will probably run at normal speeds when you first buy them without any extra performance boosts. But because they have such big cooling systems, making them run faster should be pretty easy later on. The RTX 5090D can handle up to 2,375 TOPS, which helps with games and running AI programs right on your computer. Lenovo puts these cards in computers that also have Intel Core Ultra 200K processors.
If you want a computer with the RTX 5080, Core Ultra 7 265K processor, and 32 GB of memory, prices start around 22,499 Chinese yuan, about $3,100 US dollars. For the stronger RTX 5090D with a Core Ultra 9 285K processor and 64 GB of memory, you'll pay around 41,999 Chinese yuan, about $5,820 US dollars. Lenovo also mentioned they plan to make middle-level RTX 5070 versions soon. They warned that the final cards might look a little different from the pictures they've shown.
