Light of Motiram feels like Horizon with base building

Chinese developer Polaris Quest released a gameplay trailer for Light of Motiram, a game that resembles Guerrilla's Horizon series. The new title differs from Horizon in that it focuses on survival gameplay, where players build bases with realistic physics. Players can tame over 100 types of Mechanimals, each with unique abilities. The combat system emphasizes melee fighting with dodge, block, and counter moves.

Unlike the Horizon games, Light of Motiram offers seamless cooperative multiplayer throughout the entire game. Guerrilla Games plans to address this gap with their upcoming Horizon Online project. Despite gameplay differences, many notice strong visual similarities between the games. The resemblance goes beyond simple inspiration, according to some observers.

Gamers can try Light of Motiram next year when it launches as free-to-play across PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. Minimum PC requirements include Windows 10 64-bit, Intel Core i5 6600K processor, 8GB RAM, and a GTX 1060 graphics card. For best performance, Polaris Quest recommends an Intel Core i7 9700 processor, 16GB RAM, and GTX 3060 Ti graphics. The game needs 30 GB of storage space regardless of hardware setup.
