Icelandic band Múm returns after an 11-year break. The group will release History of Silence on September 19 through Morr Music. The album marks their first new music since 2013's Smilewound. They shared a new song called Mild at Heart with a music video. Founding members Gunnar Örn Tynes and Örvar Þóreyjarson Smárason produced the track.

History of Silence becomes Múm's seventh studio album. The band recorded music at Sudestudio in Italy and other locations around the world. They worked in cities like Reykjavík, Berlin, Athens, Helsinki, New York and Prague. The album contains eight songs total. Múm plans to tour North America during September and October.

The tour kicks off September 16 in Philadelphia at Underground Arts. They will play shows across the United States and Canada. Cities on the schedule feature Washington DC, Brooklyn, Boston, Chicago, Denver, Portland, Seattle, San Francisco and Los Angeles. The final concert happens October 9 at The Regent in Los Angeles. Venues range from small clubs to larger theaters.
