Northstar by M Media Audio combines tonal shaping, dynamics, and loudness control in one mix bus plugin. This VST3 and AU tool targets Windows, macOS, plus Linux systems for final record polishing.

Three EQ banks process stereo, center, and side signals independently while FET, VCA, and Vari-Mu compressors offer six routing orders. Low and High Translation dynamically tame forward-pushing bands alongside HF limiting and three saturation characters. True-peak limiting and stereo controls complete the signal chain.

Live PRE and POST spectra display filter curves with optional reference overlays. Built-in players audition finished tracks at matched loudness levels. Level-Matched Bypass enables fair comparisons while LUFS, true-peak, and LRA meters show landing points. Set Level adjusts gain automatically using measured output during playback.

Individual power switches let users build sounds incrementally from neutral starting points. Twenty-eight factory presets provide jumping-off points while A/B comparison holds two complete states. Perpetual licenses cover three machines with online or offline activation options.

Pricing sits at $59 until October 4, 2026, before rising to $99. Free demos run with full functionality, with brief silences every thirty seconds.
