Malcom Toft has rolled out their latest mixing desk creation called the Ultima across four different channel configurations. The audio equipment manufacturer built the console specifically to work seamlessly with digital audio workstations. Engineers incorporated the company's famous equalization circuitry into every model. The design team chose through-hole electronic components to make repairs simple without special tools. Music producers can grab versions with 8, 16, 24, or 32 channels depending on their studio needs. Each channel packs a four-band EQ section plus microphone and line inputs that work together simultaneously. The mixing board provides six auxiliary sends per channel with the first one permanently set before the fader. Studio operators can switch the remaining five sends between pre-fader and post-fader modes as needed. Every Ultima model includes four subgroups and four effects returns featuring low and high shelf equalizers. Balanced insert points with bypass switches appear on all channels, subgroups, and effects returns alongside balanced direct outputs. The master section delivers solo and bypass controls for auxiliary sends plus extensive monitoring and communication features. Audio engineers get alternate speaker switching, level controls, mono and dim functions, plus master mute and level controls. Two extra stereo returns join talkback routing capabilities and a built-in headphone amplifier. The 8-channel version costs £6,500 while the 16-channel model runs £9,900. Buyers pay £13,900 for 24 channels and £17,900 for the full 32-channel configuration with VAT excluded from all prices.
