The fake doctor case almost wraps up as people tell what they saw. Prosper Vanhuvaone stands accused of acting like a real doctor at Mpilo Hospital last year. He checked sick people, told them what he thought was wrong, gave them medicine advice, and took their cash. People who met him say he seemed sure of himself and talked like he knew medical stuff really well. Someone important from NUST came forward to say they never taught this man anything. They looked through all the students' names and found nothing about him anywhere. When asked if he wanted to question this person who spoke against him, Vanhuvaone just said no. A head nurse from the hospital also talked to the court. She had never heard of him before the police caught him and the news spread around. The court will meet again Friday to hear more. Prosper has already started fighting against another case where he was found guilty of cheating people twice. He claims police tricked him into saying he did it. He believes they promised he could stay out of jail if he admitted everything. The police supposedly told him he would just need to do free work for the community as punishment. After being allowed to stay out of prison during earlier parts of his case, Prosper lost that chance. The government took away his freedom after he was found guilty. Mrs. Eva Matura runs the courtroom as the judge. Mr. Samuel Mpofu speaks for the law against Vanhuvaone. The case shows how someone with enough confidence can pretend to be a medical expert. This story raises questions about hospital security and how people check doctor credentials. How did someone without proper training work at a real hospital? Did he learn medical terms from books or the internet? Many patients trusted him completely before anyone caught his lies. The case matters because patients expect real doctors when they seek help for serious health problems.
