War Heroes Unhappy About Small Money Gifts.

Old soldiers who fought for Zimbabwe are feeling sad. The leader of Zimbabwe, President Mnangagwa, gave them some money to share. They thought they would receive a lot more. There were four thousand old soldiers in Masvingo who needed help, but the money only helped about seventy people.

These brave people who fought for their country many years ago each received two thousand dollars on February 6. Many of them live without much money, and they want the president to help all of them, not just a few.

Some people think President Mnangagwa gave this money because he wanted the old soldiers to like him. A man named Blessed Geza said many of these heroes are very poor. Dr Paul Tungwarara came to give out the money in a place called Chivi. He also said he would help dig water wells near their homes.

The people in charge of looking after these old soldiers didn't want to talk much about what happened. Mr Makuni, who leads the group, didn't want to speak on the phone. He told people to come meet him instead. Other important old soldiers like Mr. Chinooneka and Mr. Ezra said they weren't there when the money was given out.

The old soldiers are confused because different people are saying different things. Mr Makuni said some people were at the meeting, but those same people say they never went. These brave heroes want everyone to know the truth about what happened with their money.
