Micron Technology announced a major business reorganization targeting artificial intelligence growth across various market segments. The technology company will restructure its operations into four distinct business units designed to address evolving industry needs. These new units will concentrate on cloud memory, core data center solutions, mobile and client technologies, and automotive and embedded systems.
The transition begins immediately and will be completed early in the company's fiscal fourth quarter, starting May 30, 2025. Micron plans to report financial results under the new structure starting with the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2025. Each business unit will be led by experienced senior executives who have previously managed related departments.
Key leadership includes Raj Narasimhan heading the Cloud Memory Business Unit, Jeremy Werner leading the Core Data Center Business Unit, Mark Montierth managing the Mobile and Client Business Unit, and Kris Baxter overseeing the Automotive and Embedded Business Unit. All four units will continue reporting to Sumit Sadana, Executive Vice President and Chief Business Officer.
