[QUOTE="Munyaradzi Mafaro, post: 48674, member: 636"] Middle East tensions have cooled down thanks to Donald Trump's efforts. People worried about war between Iran and Israel can breathe easier. The media started talking about positive developments. Everyone forgot that Israel has been killing Palestinians in Gaza for almost two years. The massacre had almost ended through diplomacy earlier. Israel and Hamas agreed to a ceasefire in January after pressure from America, Egypt, and Qatar. They started swapping prisoners with each other. People hoped this would end the fighting forever. Israel quit the ceasefire after three months and blamed Hamas for delays. The airstrikes on Gaza started again. Hamas and Israel could not make peace because they fight on different levels. Israel has much stronger military power and America always backs them. Most Middle East countries have made deals with Israel except Iran. Hamas lost support from many Arab nations. Global public opinion favors Hamas but cannot stop wars anymore. Trump revealed his business plan for Gaza Strip development. This made Hamas doubt the real purpose of peace talks. Hamas refused to compromise on peace terms. Israeli attacks continued despite ceasefire agreements. Iran's military strength has been tested recently. Arab countries have become wealthy through investments and can influence peace. Qatar, UAE, and Saudi Arabia buy football clubs and host major sports events. America needs their investment money to compete with China and Russia. Netanyahu visits America next week for possible peace talks. Lasting peace requires including China and Russia in discussions.
