General Thomas Oppong-Peprah, the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), led the meeting in Accra. Other security chiefs also attended.
Gen. Oppong-Peprah congratulated Dr. Omane Boamah. He promised the military's support to protect Ghana.
The CDS said the armed forces are ready to defend the country by land, sea, and air. He stressed the need for the military and civilians to work together.
Dr. Omane Boamah thanked the officers for their visit. He vowed to tackle issues like soldier housing and equipment.
