Minister Demands ZimParks Revive Sacred Park Legends Now

Dr. Sithembiso Nyoni asked the wildlife park leaders to better care for Zimbabwe's animals. She met with the ZimParks board and the new boss, Professor Edson Gandiwa, at their main office.

Minister Nyoni said our parks make us proud as a country. She asked them to bring back the real meaning of places like Matobo. This park had special rocky mountains where people once made rain happen before other countries changed things.

"Our parks make us proud, and we must keep them safe for children who will live after us," Minister Nyoni said. "Please work together to make Matobo as wonderful as it was before."

Minister Nyoni said the park leaders did a good job stopping people from killing animals. She told them what she wanted them to do in 2025: visit and check the parks themselves, not just give orders from far away. These parks cover a big part of Zimbabwe's land.

"I want you to be there and see things, not just push buttons from far away," Minister Nyoni said. She asked for better rules to keep elephants, rhinos, and lions safe.

She also asked them to help fix problems between animals and people who live near the parks. Minister Nyoni said they need money for these jobs and should make friends with big companies who can help pay for saving animals.
