Mnangagwa Steals Spotlight at AU Assembly and G20 Breakfast

President Mnangagwa leads the SADC group of African countries. He will join other African leaders at a big meeting today at the African Union, which brings together leaders from all across Africa.

South Africa's president, Cyril Ramaphosa, invited President Mnangagwa to have breakfast with other leaders. They will talk about important problems that many countries face. These problems include changes in weather that harm our planet, people not having enough money or food, and many people not having jobs.

President Mnangagwa wants to meet his friend, President Daniel Chapo, from Mozambique. They could not meet yesterday because they were both very busy. They hope to discuss ways their countries can work together.

Both President Mnangagwa and President Hichilema from Zambia want to help someone named Dr. Samuel Maimbo. They think he would make a great leader at the African Development Bank. This bank helps African countries grow stronger. Other people want this job as well. Five different people from different African countries hope to become the bank's new leader.
