Fights about who takes over from President Emmerson Mnangagwa have turned violent. People broke into the homes of those who spoke against him. War veteran Blessed "Bombshell" Geza saw his house attacked last week. His workers had to hide in bushes when armed men came looking for him. Armed men showed up at Geza's farm Thursday night and smashed things. Scared neighbors told what happened: "They pointed guns at my face when I opened the door. They made me go with them. Inside, they forced us to sit down as they broke all the windows." The same night, someone attacked Godwin Gomwe's car and house in Zvimba, Mashonaland West. These attacks appear linked to fights inside Zanu PF. The party wants to keep Mnangagwa as leader until 2030 instead of 2028 - a plan they approved at their meeting last year. Geza has spoken out against the current leaders and asked people to join protests on March 31. He wants them to stand up against bad leadership and stealing. Loyal followers of Mnangagwa hate these plans. Youth leader John Paradza promised to stop any protests during a recent youth money event. At a party meeting, someone named Garwe yelled about Geza, calling him "stupid, nuisance, idiot." He said Zanu PF doesn't care about social media or written complaints. "2030 will happen no matter how much you yell at the President," he told supporters. His words show the party plans to push ahead despite complaints. Police want to find Geza. They say he tries to make people violent and disrespects the president. Police spokesman Paul Nyathi said he was away from work but shared nothing about their search. People in Sanyati live in fear after what happened. One scared resident said, "We feel unsafe here." The men with guns went through several areas, asking where to find Geza. "They started at the Munetsi area, where someone told them how to reach Geza's house. They tied up our neighbors as they asked where Geza was," said another person who saw the attacks. Gomwe claims party members attacked him because he disagrees with plans for 2030. Zanu PF information director Farai Marapira denied any party role in these attacks. "The president has made it clear that we must have peace and unity," he stated. He admitted Geza and Gomwe have many enemies but claimed the party accepts different views. "I don't think this has anything to do with Zanu PF. It's anyone's guess," he added. Church leaders asked for peace before the March 31 protests. Pastor Brighton Dengu from the Evangelical Fellowship urged all Zimbabweans to stay calm. He asked people to find better ways to talk about problems. He warned that fighting and harsh treatment would only create more division across the country. He asked for real talks with people who feel left out.
