[QUOTE="Munyaradzi Mafaro, post: 50091, member: 636"] Elon Musk's political games helped Tesla stock earlier this year when he and Trump were best buddies. Those days are over. Tesla keeps losing federal electric car credits and the demand for ZEV regulatory credits is about to crash. Musk just shocked everyone when he announced plans to start a new political party in America. Morgan Stanley analyst Adam Jonas still found some good news for the struggling car company. Musk asked people online if America needs a new political party. Most people said yes. He promised to make it happen. A fake government filing went viral over the weekend but Musk said it was completely false. Jonas warns investors that Musk will spend more money and time on politics instead of running Tesla. The Wall Street expert thinks Musk's political activism is actually part of a smart plan to get people talking about important issues. Tesla delivered 384,122 cars in the second quarter and made 410,244 vehicles. These numbers matched what most experts expected. Jonas believes Tesla could save 2.5 billion dollars if it replaced just 10 percent of its 125,665 workers with Optimus robots. The energy storage part of Tesla's business stayed flat compared to last year. Federal tax breaks for electric cars end on September 30th and solar credits stop on December 31st. Trump's new law is killing demand for ZEV credits that made Tesla billions of dollars. California had special rules that let it have tougher pollution standards but Congress took away that power.
