MSI will launch its PRO Z890-S WIFI PZ back-plug motherboard in Japan on May 2, 2025. It will cost about ¥42,980, equal to $300. The board places most connections on the back or I/O panel, which helps users create neater setups with less cable mess. This design makes building a computer easier when used with the right case.
The motherboard uses a tough 6-layer server-grade PCB for better stability. It comes with a 12+1+1+1 power phase design and two EPS 8-pin CPU power interfaces for steady power during hard work. Users can add various cards through multiple slots - one PCIe 5.0×16 slot, one PCIe 3.0×1 slot, and two PCIe 4.0×4 slots.
Storage options are flexible with support for fast PCIe drives or standard SATA drives. The board offers Realtek 2.5GbE wired internet and Intel Wi-Fi 7 wireless speeds up to 5.8 Gbps. It also has Bluetooth 5.4 for wireless devices. Realtek ALC897 CODEC handles all sound needs, with many ports available for different uses.
