Museveni claimed that one acre of land could create jobs for fifteen people through intensive farming. He said that with just 7 million acres, Uganda could create 105 million jobs—more than double the population! The President warned that just growing without transforming leads to endless underdevelopment. UN representatives at the forum stressed the importance of fighting climate change, removing trade barriers, supporting women, and addressing the debt problems facing African nations.
