President Museveni said nice things about the people in Rubirizi. He said they used their Parish Development Model money very well, and he wants to give them more money every year through their Parish SACCO. The President visited many farms today. He went to see Mrs. Tumusiime Desirata, who lives in Kizurugo village. He told everyone he has talked about making money since the 1960s. People who listened to him became rich. President Museveni explained what he told people when he became leader. He said if you have 4 acres of land, you can plant coffee in one acre. You can grow fruits in the second acre. The third acre can have grass for cows. The fourth acre helps you grow food. People with small yards can raise chickens for eggs or keep pigs. The President said they made the PDM program to help people control their money. Each parish decides how to use it for good. He thinks Africa has problems because many leaders give bad advice. He compared politicians to doctors who must find the right medicine. Wrong advice can hurt people, just like wrong medicine. Mrs. Tumusiime thanked the President for helping her. In May 2023, she received money and bought pigs and other animals. Her pigs produced baby pigs, which gave her more money. The President gave her ten million shillings to expand her business. Later, President Museveni visited another farm in Sheema district. This farm belongs to Ms. Abenawe, who used to work for the government. She started farming in 2016 with banana trees and two baby cows. She worked hard and made her farm much bigger. She has many banana trees, twenty cows, coffee plants, and fish ponds. She helps thirty people by giving them jobs. Ms. Abenawe feels happy the President teaches people about farming. She wants everyone to try business farming to earn more money. The President will give her ten cows and a truck. Many important people came to these events, including Ministers and Members of Parliament.
