[QUOTE="Queen, post: 90344, member: 27"] College esports just landed its version of the Moneyball treatment, and it's locked in for three whole years. NACE, the governing body overseeing varsity esports at US colleges, teamed up with Omnic.AI, a company building analytics tools for gamers, naming them the official performance intelligence partner for the entire member network. The tech itself, called Omnic Forge, basically watches gameplay footage and auto-generates stats coaches would normally have to hunt down themselves: aim accuracy, performance trends over a season, that kind of thing. Nobody's claiming this replaces actual coaching though; it's positioned purely as a decision-support tool for staff. Beyond just handing schools access to the platform, Omnic.AI gets baked into NACE's big events too, think the National Convention and Championship LANs, plus social media and broadcast spots. NACE's executive director Riley Long framed it as giving coaches the data depth to sharpen strategy and help players spot where they need work. Omnic.AI's CEO Shubber Ali pitched it similarly, saying the goal is amplifying good coaching judgment rather than replacing it, turning raw footage into something coaches can actually use fast. This isn't NACE's first commercial move lately either. They previously brought on InTouch Credit Union as a financial services partner and tapped Raven to handle merchandise, so this analytics deal rounds out a pretty busy stretch of partnership building.
