Nintendo Switch Turns Into World's Slowest iPhone After iOS Hack

Someone managed to install Apple's iOS operating system on a Nintendo Switch gaming device. The experiment took two full days to complete and created the world's slowest iPhone according to the hacker. PatRyk shared the results on social media after successfully getting iOS running on Nintendo's portable console.

The modified Switch takes about 20 minutes just to start up when running iOS. Most apps crash immediately after opening and the system becomes unstable during basic tasks. The device's processor cannot handle Apple's mobile operating system very well.

A developer called ChefKissInc created special software that made this hack possible. They built a version of QEMU emulation software designed for iPhone 11 hardware. The code became available for anyone to download from GitHub.

Nintendo Switch 2 sales continue growing rapidly across different markets around the world. Experts predict the company could sell between 15 million and 16 million units before March 2026. The original Switch remains popular among tech enthusiasts who experiment with alternative operating systems.

PatRyk has not shared whether more improvements will come to this iOS hack. The current version needs major optimization work to function properly. Anyone interested can try this modification but should expect many technical problems.
