Lamin Saidykhan, the Governor of the North Bank Region, said 2024 was a great year for development. President Adama Barrow's leadership helped the region a lot. Governor Saidykhan praised the youth for doing well at the National Youth Conference and Festival. He wants young people to use the opportunities the government gives them, including money for farming and business. The Governor talked about new roads being built. One goes from Salikene to Njaba Kunda, and it will help connect towns. He also said almost all villages are getting electricity now, and he thanked the power company for that. New health centers in Salikene and Kisimajaw are improving healthcare. The FABB Foundation built two places at hospitals for moms and babies. Chief Momodou Chatty Cham of Upper Nuimi said the new Hakalang Road is great. It will help move goods around. He said more electricity would improve life in rural areas and make people want to stay and invest there. Chief Alagie Jagne of Central Badibu liked the new road from Njaba Kunda to Banni. He said it would help people get services and healthcare faster. He also liked the new health center in Salikene. Chief Jagne was happy the government helped farmers. But he said the groundnut and rice crops weren't that good. He wants the government to do more. He liked that the government gave cattle a place to drink in Dobo. The Chief said people need to protect grazing land. They can't start bushfires, and if they do, they'll get in trouble. He won't allow any bushfires in Central Badibu.
