NPP man Richard Ahiagbah slammed the 24-hour economy policy as a failed promise. He claims the policy lacks clear details and cannot work as planned. The government launches this plan today but Ahiagbah says it became a burden for Presidential Advisor Goosie Tanoh. He questions where the massive $4 billion will go for this project. Tanoh must find a way to make this idea seem better than it is. Former President Mahama talked about this idea during his campaign last year. The government plans to give around $300 to $400 million to start things off. They hope private companies will put money into the rest of the project. Ahiagbah believes nobody looked hard at this plan before approving it. He says news people just let the NDC party talk about their idea without asking tough questions. The media helped sell what he calls a scam to Ghana citizens. Ahiagbah wants the government to stop the 24-hour economy plan completely. He thinks the NPP party has a much better idea with their One District One Factory program. This program creates jobs and helps Ghana make more products. He says the 1D1F plan works better for what Ghana needs right. The NPP man hopes the current leaders will stick with what already exists instead of starting something new.
