Orastron Updates Brickworks Audio Software Toolkit.
Orastron released version 1.3.0 of their Brickworks DSP toolkit, a free and open-source platform for music software development.
The latest update brings fast time-invariant TDF-II IIR filters to the toolkit. These include first and second-order filters, also known as biquads. The company added new examples to showcase these features.
Technical changes include a shift from nullptr to BW_NULL in the C++ API, which helps older C++ compilers run the software. The team also improved the build system for examples and fixed small text errors in the docs.
The paid version, Brickworks Pro, received similar updates to match these improvements.
Brickworks remains free to download and use under open-source terms. Music software creators can access these tools to build their audio applications.
