Last Saturday, more than 1,000 single women came to Hatfield's Garden of Eden for prayers and support hosted by Daughters Of Virtue, a ministry locals call the "Tadhinihwa Group." Most attendees were divorced women seeking spiritual guidance from Prophetess Memory Matimbire. The yearly gathering helps address the emotional and spiritual needs that singles experience. Pastor Blessed spoke about how these special prayer sessions create a caring space for unmarried people. The spokesperson explained that Zimbabwe isn't facing a marriage crisis - these events simply offer much-needed support for singles who deal with unique problems. As happens at many religious gatherings, women made up almost everyone there, with just a handful of men joining the prayers. Single women regularly face tough situations like broken relationships, marriages happening later than expected, raising kids without partners, and dealing with how others judge them. Many struggle with money problems and feel alone with nobody to share their feelings. These single parents must handle everything by themselves, from paying bills to making all family decisions. The pressure becomes overwhelming when they need to balance work demands against family responsibilities. DOV recognizes these challenges and creates safe spaces where singles can pray together and find strength. Beyond helping singles, the ministry runs several other departments that serve specific groups throughout the year. The Hannah Department welcomes women unable to have children, offering them prayer and community. Another branch helps widows navigate life after losing their spouses. Young people also benefit from youth-focused prayer events designed just for them. Each gathering addresses the particular difficulties these groups face. The ministry believes everyone deserves support regardless of their life situation or relationship status. Pastor Blessed emphasized how bringing people together who share similar life experiences helps them feel less isolated. When singles pray as a group, they discover they aren't alone in their struggles. The Saturday event allowed participants to connect, share stories, and leave feeling spiritually refreshed and emotionally stronger. Through these regular gatherings, DOV continues building communities where single people find acceptance, prayer, and practical help for life's challenges.
