Accra, Feb. 4—Minority Leader Alexander Afenyo-Markin wants two ministerial nominees to submit documents to the Appointments Committee. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa and Samuel Nartey George made claims during their vetting and promised to provide evidence.

Afenyo-Markin said their approval will be decided by secret ballot until the documents are submitted. The committee cannot finalize their reports without the information.

"We will take Ablakwa, Sam George through secret voting," he stated on the Parliament floor Tuesday. "Those documents they promised to bring to us must be made available."

However, Afenyo-Markin said Abdul Rashid Alhassan and Ibrahim Murtala Mohammed can be approved. There were no issues with them during vetting.

The Minority Leader said if the documents are satisfactory, they will change their position. They did this for Emmanuel Amarh Kofi Boah.

Afenyo-Markin highlighted his respect for his colleagues. He pleaded for the right thing to be done.
