Phyno Calls Out Fake News About His Lagos Estate

Nigerian rap star Phyno strongly denied claims he sold his Lagos property because of ethnic tensions. A reporter posted online that Phyno had sold a N10 billion estate to a Libyan businessman due to anti-Igbo sentiment among Yoruba people. The journalist quoted Phyno as saying the recent election revealed lasting hatred toward Igbos, making him regret investing in Yoruba territory instead of his native Enugu region.

The original post appeared briefly before being removed from the social media platform X. It claimed the musician planned to relocate his investments to southeastern Nigeria, where fellow Igbo people would benefit from them. The allegations suggested ethnic divisions influenced his business decisions following political events.

Phyno responded directly to these assertions, calling them fabricated. He questioned the reporter's motives behind spreading such information about him. The musician used his social media account to dismiss the claims entirely. He called the journalist foolish for creating false narratives about his property dealings.
