Anti-corruption investigators arrested Mwoyo on October 13 at Bellevue Shopping Centre after Munemo reported the demands and authorities set a trap. Officers caught the detective accepting $120 from the complainant. Magistrate Richard Ramaboea barred Mwoyo from interfering with state witnesses and required him to stay at his registered address.
