Soniccouture just dropped another synth instrument collab. They teamed up with British synth wizard Ian Boddy for this one, building a thing called Polarity Modular around 250 unique waveforms he cooked up on his massive modular rig. The whole point is to mash up that warm, fuzzy analog vibe with insane granular synthesis tweaking. They sampled a ton of classic gear like the Roland System 100M, Serge Modular, and the Buchla Easel. The main screen keeps it stupid simple with just four big macro knobs and two windows showing your main samples, which they're calling A and B Elements. You aren't stuck with their sounds either, because you can just drag and drop your own samples right into those slots. If you need to go deeper, a dedicated Grain Edit page gives you separate controls for each of the two granular engines. Then, a Synth Edit page opens, allowing you to adjust the amp, filter, and LFO settings for each Element individually. For finishing touches, an FX page throws in two separate insert effect chains and an impulse response reverb with dual sends. The inserts pack stuff like Replika delay and Phasis, and the reverb uses custom impulses made from Boddy's own modular system. It runs inside Native Instruments Kontakt Player version 7.10 or newer. You will need Windows 10 or macOS 11 or higher to use it. It works as a VST3, AU, or AAX plugin, and there is a standalone app too. You can grab Polarity Modular right now for an intro price of 99 quid. That is a discount from its normal cost of 129 pounds. VAT is included in those prices.
