[QUOTE="Munyaradzi Mafaro, post: 49165, member: 636"] A pregnant mom and her husband landed behind bars after judges hammered them with jail time for stealing expensive jewelry and household items. Jasila Jamaruddin faces three years in prison for snatching a gold bracelet worth twelve thousand ringgit from a woman outside a cafe. The 31-year-old expectant mother pleaded guilty to the robbery charge at Ayer Keroh Sessions Court. Judge Haderiah Siri ordered her sentence to begin from her arrest date back in June. The woman was five months pregnant with her fifth baby when she committed the crime. Her husband Muhammad Alif Aiman Zaini also received his punishment during separate court hearings on the same day. The 24-year-old man and his wife each got one year in prison for selling the stolen bracelet at a pawn shop. They took the jewelry to Jalan Kiara Semenyih and sold it hours after the robbery happened. Judge Rohatul Akmar Abdullah handed down this sentence after both defendants admitted their guilt. The couple worked together to dispose of the evidence from their theft. The pair faced additional charges for stealing items from their apartment rental. They took a television, android box, iron, water heater, bedding and access cards from Atlantis Residence Tower. Magistrate Uthman Abdul Ghani gave them five months in jail for this dwelling theft. The couple had no lawyers representing them during any of the three court proceedings. Deputy public prosecutors Wardah Ishhar and Muhammad Nazrin Ali Rahim handled the cases for the government.
