They all came together to support keeping girls in school across Uganda. The KCCA Executive Director kicked off the event as dawn broke. Ategeka shared his thoughts after winning: "I have participated in many races, but the KH3 7 Hills Run is truly special. It is physically demanding but incredibly rewarding, especially knowing that we are running for a cause bigger than ourselves—giving young girls access to education." The event has made huge impacts since it began in 2023. Organizers have raised UGX 500 million total—UGX 200 million the first year and UGX 300 million in 2024. These funds have helped more than 10,000 girls throughout Uganda. David Wandera explained how each participant helps their mission to reach more girls. Corporate support keeps growing, with five additional sponsors joining the cause this year. Organizers managed waste responsibly by collecting and recycling plastic from the event. This helped reduce environmental impact and promoted sustainability practices. The day finished with exciting entertainment for everyone involved.
