Besut District Police Chief Superintendent Azamuddin Ahmad confirmed officers are treating this as a criminal case under Section 420 of the Penal Code. The law covers cheating and dishonest schemes designed to steal property from victims. Azamuddin warned other residents to stay alert when they encounter suspicious links on social media platforms. He stressed that people should never share personal banking information through unsolicited online offers that seem too good to be true.
