The huge machines weigh about 400 tons each and needed over 150 kilometers of cables to hook everything up. The backup transformers can pull power from two different sources to keep the plant's internal systems working.

Alexey Deriy from the Russian engineering team said they beat tough weather and shipping problems to finish the job. Safety tests start soon and people might hear strange steam noises during the checks. The sounds are totally normal and part of the testing process according to strict safety rules. Russia provides the money and technology for the entire project which features two modern reactors that will produce 2,400 megawatts total.
