Rainbow Tourism Group has spent $26 million fixing up its hotels across Zimbabwe during the past five years. The company recently finished making improvements to its places at Victoria Falls. They spent $380,000 total on both A'Zambezi River Lodge and Victoria Falls-Rainbow Hotel. These upgrades happened between January 6 and February 20, 2025. Tendai Madziwanyika, the company CEO, believes these investments improve guest stays. He says they want to make Victoria Falls stand out as a top destination for visitors. Tourism ranks among the most important parts of Zimbabwe's economy. The industry brings foreign money into the country alongside farming, mining, and manufacturing. The company aims to create world-class destinations that make Zimbabwe more appealing to travelers. Their hotel at A'Zambezi River Lodge sits next to the mighty Zambezi River. Workers updated 42 rooms there for $200,000. They added modern furniture made from rich teak wood and improved electrical systems for international guests. The rooms feature calming blue and gray colors that match the beautiful surroundings. The company spent $180,000 to improve 44 rooms at Victoria Falls Rainbow Hotel. They replaced old furniture and fixtures throughout the building. The walls have new designs to create a fancy yet welcoming feel. Guests can relax on new easy chairs after spending the day exploring the exciting town and natural wonders nearby. These hotels matter a lot because Victoria Falls brings many tourists to Zimbabwe. The location has earned recognition as both a United Nations World Heritage site and one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Many famous people visit, including Hollywood stars who come for the amazing views and fun activities available there. RTG has completed other big projects recently. They upgraded the New Ambassador Hotel for $500,000 and spent $5.2 million on Rainbow Towers Hotel and Harare International Conference Centre. Madziwanyika says all these improvements show how committed they are to improving Zimbabwe's tourism. He believes investing in their properties helps develop local communities and boosts the national economy.
