President Ruto promised he would visit Mt Kenya many more times after his five-day tour ended Saturday. He wants to ensure that all projects finish on time. He and Deputy President Kindiki spent these days going through nine counties, where they checked on projects worth billions and started new ones. They plan to complete these new projects within a year. On their last day, they visited Nyeri Town and Othaya in Nyeri County, plus the Githunguri and Lari areas in Kiambu County. The President told people he would come back often until he finished what they asked him to do. He stressed that everyone must benefit from the government projects in their area. During his Nyeri stop, he looked at the building work at Ruring'u for both homes and the stadium. He also opened the new modern market in Othaya town. This market is just one of ten being built across Nyeri County right now. When he reached Kiambu, the President opened a technical school and an ICT lab called Jitume. He also checked two sections of the Mau Mau Road and opened another market in Githunguri. The President reminded everyone this was not about politics but service. He said people elected him along with their MCAs, MPs, Governors, and Senators for clear jobs. He mentioned they would judge his work when election time comes again in 2027. Both the President and Deputy traveled through Laikipia, Nyeri, Murang'a, Tharaka Nithi, Meru, Kiambu, Nyandarua, Embu, and Kirinyaga. At each stop, they promised to serve all citizens equally without favoring anyone. Huge crowds showed up everywhere to welcome them with great excitement. The President focused mainly on finishing delayed road projects, speeding up affordable housing, and building modern markets for small traders. The President also wants better prices for coffee, tea, miraa, and dairy farmers. He plans to improve water supply across these areas. He turned on electricity for many homes as part of the last-mile connection program. Deputy President Kindiki promised he would track every project the President announced during their trip. He said he would visit the region often to check how the work moves forward. He wants to make sure everything gets done fast enough that when the President returns, he can open finished projects instead of just checking progress.
