Ruto off EAPC board so not hiring MD

President Ruto tried taking over the cement company's leadership, but the company fought back. East Africa Portland Cement says the President cannot appoint anyone since he sits nowhere on their Board. They claim his December press announcement naming Bruno Obodha as Managing Director completely violates company rules. The Board insists only they can pick who runs the company. Their legal team argues that nobody can steal this power from them.

Company lawyers revealed that Obodha scored just 64% during interviews—far below the required 70% passing mark. They also claim he hid conflicts of interest from selection committees during hiring. The Board already appointed Mohamed Osman Adan back in February after he passed all requirements. Lawyer Apollo Mboya filed a court case demanding that Obodha keep the job despite failing interviews. This legal battle pits Presidential authority against corporate independence.
