Ruto asked local leaders to encourage more people to sign up for the Social Health Authority. Current enrollment stands at 35 percent in Machakos, 28 percent in Makueni, and 22 percent in Kitui. The President dismissed claims that SHA does not work. He said drug deliveries will go straight to hospitals instead of county offices. Later this year, he plans to launch a Sh40 billion clinker factory in Kitui.
