President William Ruto hands out fresh leadership roles across government agencies through official gazette notices. Ali Noor Ismail grabs the top spot at the Pest Control Products Board as Non-Executive Chairperson for three years starting July 11. Abdi Mude Ibrahim lands the same role at Kenya Veterinary Vaccines Production Institute with identical terms. Charles Nyachae returns to lead the Kenya School of Government Council after Ruto gives him another three-year stint. The president had first picked Nyachae for the council job back in January 2024. Cabinet secretaries join the appointment spree by selecting their preferred candidates for various boards. Public Service chief Geoffrey Ruku brings Leonida Chelagat Mitei and Dr. Francis Owino into the Kenya School of Government Council while giving Linnet Mirehane another term. Roads boss Davis Chirchir keeps Iltasayon Neepe on the Kenya Airports Authority Board for three more years. Labour minister Alfred Mutua retains Rose Omamo at the National Social Security Fund Board of Trustees. Water secretary Eric Muuga reappoints Regina Ndambuki to chair Tanathi Water Works Development Agency while keeping Geoffrey Rukuja and Nasri Sahal Ibrahim in their respective water agency positions. Gender minister Hannah Cheptumo gives Edwin Abonyo another round as National Museums of Kenya Board chairman. Trade secretary Lee Kinyanjui adds Hamzo Alio Abdi to the Export Processing Zones Authority Board roster. All appointments carry three-year terms effective from mid-July dates. The government continues reshaping parastatals through strategic leadership changes. Fresh faces mix with returning veterans across multiple sectors.
