Zimbabwe wants to improve its business partnerships with SADC and Europe. Albert Chimbindi from Foreign Affairs stated this at a meeting in Harare yesterday. The two regions plan to hold bigger talks today about working together. Zimbabwe currently leads the SADC group. Chimbindi believes both sides can create good things together. He mentioned how they hope to grow areas like digital tech, climate work, energy production, transportation systems, healthcare, and new ideas. SADC really wants stronger money ties with Europe. They aim to sell more products back and forth and bring more companies to invest. The Ambassador thinks teamwork helps everyone find new chances. He likes how both regions already trade through their partnership deal. President Emmerson Mnangagwa pushes for fresh thinking as SADC leader. Chimbindi asked Europe to help them make bold plans that create value across all business areas. SADC promises to support any member country facing safety problems. Peace talks are happening right now between troubled nations. Europe has supported these efforts to make the area safe and rich. Sadly, fights in parts of the region have caused a major aid crisis for many people. Rita Laranjinha from the EU talked about how important African partnerships have become. She called this an important time for relations between Europe and Southern Africa. Her group just met with South African leaders on Thursday. She pointed out that 2025 marks 25 years since the first big Europe-Africa meeting happened in Cairo. She stressed that these connections matter more than ever before.
