Saiyami Kher is making her international film debut in an Indo-Russian drama led by director Maksim Kuznetsov. The actress has already filmed in Russia and India, with the project giving her a new taste of working far from her usual film sets. For Kher, Moscow was a major part of the experience. It was her first trip to Russia, and she came away with fond memories of the city. The crew was foreign, the work style was new, and she enjoyed the chance to be part of it all. One thing that stood out was how people from different backgrounds approached filmmaking. Kher found the change in work habits quite eye-opening. Language gaps did not stop the team from working together, and she felt the mix of cultures helped her see movie scripts in fresh ways. She is keen to take on more roles abroad after this experience. But there is still a fair bit of mystery around the project. Kher has kept the finer plot details private, apart from saying that a strong female character sits at the heart of the drama. Behind the film are Kartina Entertainment, White Night Films, and Wish Media. The three firms have joined forces on a project that brings Indian and Russian talent into the same production. Meanwhile, Kher's recent screen work also includes Haiwaan, a crime thriller with a neo-noir style. Priyadarshan directed and co-wrote the film, drawing from his Malayalam movie Oppam. The cast brought Akshay Kumar and Saif Ali Khan back together after a long gap. Their last shared film was Tashan, which also featured Kareena Kapoor Khan. This reunion came with Boman Irani, Shriya Pilgaonkar, and Kher in the lineup, while Mohanlal appeared in a brief role. Despite that cast, Haiwaan struggled badly at theaters and was described as a major box-office failure. Kher's new overseas project offers a different kind of role, with the focus shifting toward a female-led story and an international crew.
