Korean tech insiders leaked information last week about Samsung making an "Exynos 2600" chip. This powerful processor might run the Galaxy S26 phones coming early 2026. Samsung's factory teams seem to be making good progress with their new 2 nanometer Gate-All-Around technology. Yet many critics believe Samsung will end up buying chips from Qualcomm again because it has to. The Bell news from South Korea reports Samsung's chip team is working hard. They really want the next high-end Galaxy phones next year to use their home-grown technology. Sources say Samsung needs to finish the Exynos 2600 chip "by the middle of the third quarter this year" if they want Galaxy S26 phones to use it. We don't know if this means finishing the design or starting to make lots of chips. The story around the other new chip - Exynos 2500 - remains unclear. Earlier leaks connected it to the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 7 and Fold 7 phones. Newer reports link this design to an older 4-nanometer process. They say it might go into cheaper "Galaxy Z Flip FE" Enterprise Edition models. The Bell asked one trusted source what was happening. This person said everything keeps changing. The unnamed source told them, "Exynos 2500 production plan is constantly changing. "I thought it was certain, but I heard the possibility has recently decreased slightly." Samsung workers have many different projects happening at once in 2025. They face a busy year ahead with all these chip designs and phone launches competing for their attention.
